Science Express offers a
45-minute science class that is very sensory and fun.
All students take home what
they make.
Our Preschool classes are designed for young children and include an opening circle, several hands-on lessons, a gross motor activity, and a closing circle.
Class size is limited to 20 students. Multiple sessions are available.

Totally Trees
Little arborists will learn about the anatomy and life cycle of trees in this fun class. Students will examine tree parts, make a leaf book, jump in a pile of leaves, and take home a tree cookie!

Beautiful Bats
Students will learn about this amazing flying mammal by experimenting with echolocation,
making a bat craft, and playing a smell game.

Measure Up 
Preschoolers will introduced to weight and measurement as they use blocks, rulers, graduated cylinders, and scales in several hands-on activities. Students will also make
and take home their very own ruler.

Dinosaur Days
Little explorers will learn all about dinosaurs and fossils in this adventuresome class. Students will dig for fossils, make a T-rex tooth replica, and go on a dinosaur egg hunt!

Crazy Chemistry
In this fun class, little scientists will learn about chemistry as they make slime, test mystery liquids, launch volcanoes, and separate colors from black ink.

Silly Sounds
Students will learn all about sound as they experiment with soundwaves, play hearing games, and make an instrument to take home.

March
Magnet Time
Preschoolers will learn about and experiment with a variety of magnetic objects. Students will see how magnets attract and repel, what objects are magnetic, and how to catch magnetic fish!

Color Science
Preschoolers will learn all about color science in this eye catching class. Students will play with primary and secondary colors as they mix and squish their science lessons. Students will also take home a rainbow top.

Beautiful Butterflies
Students will learn about nature's most beautiful insect as they observe and interact with real butterflies, make a butterfly craft, and play a caterpillar game.

Precious Gems
Preschoolers will be introduced to geology as they dig for real gemstones. Students will use a magnifier and Students will also conduct geologic tests on their minerals, make a rock display, and launch volcanoes!

July
Beach Explorers
Preschoolers will take an imaginary trip to the beach in this exotic class. Students will examine beach specimens, make an ocean biome, build sand castles, and test the density of salt water with crayons.

August
Illuminating Light
Little scientists will learn all about the sun and its special light. Students will learn about the earth’s rotation around the sun and work with prisms, special UV beads, and solar paper.

Program Fee: $150 per class
Travel Fee: $25 for travel to King County
Number of Students: Maximum of 20 students
Inclement Weather Policy
Science Express will make all reasonable efforts to conduct our program on the date it is scheduled. However, if driving conditions are unsafe, we will need to reschedule the program. We will contact you on the program date to discuss other arrangements.
Cancellation Policy
Please notify us at least 14 days prior to the program date if you need to cancel any classes (including additional classes on the same day) Otherwise, a $50 cancellation fee will be assessed. There is no fee to reschedule a class.
